Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base rescheduled

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. – SpaceX moved the Falcon 9 launch of the OneWeb Launch 20 mission to low Earth orbit on Saturday evening, according to a VSFB Launch Alert.

The new launch window was moved by SpaceX to next week no earlier than Tuesday, October 1.

The OneWeb Launch 20 mission with 20 satellites was scheduled for Sunday, September 29 at 11:54 PM

“All launch dates and times are subject to change based on mission requirements,” SpaceX said.

SpaceX says local residents can expect a sonic boom upon landing at the base, but this will depend on weather and other conditions.

A live webcast of the launch will begin here approximately 10 minutes before launch.

After first-stage separation, the booster returns to Earth to land in Landing Zone 4 at Vandenberg Space Force Base, as shown in the diagram below, courtesy of SpaceX.

This will be the seventh flight for the first-stage booster in support of the mission that previously launched the USSF-62 mission and five Starlink missions.
