Jerry Ferrara has a long list of names he wants to appear on his new sports podcast “Throwbacks” with Matt Leinart …but there’s one person he’s put right up there: New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson.

TMZ Sport spoke to the former “Entourage” and “Power” actor about his project with the Heisman Trophy winner … and he looks forward to chatting with his co-host each week about all things sports and life in general.

Ferrara explained that it won’t be all X’s and O’s. He wants to paint the perspective of a true sports fan, as he has a lifetime of experience cheering on his beloved Yankees, Giants and Knicks.

They’re a perfect pair — as Ferrara points out, Leinart was the big man on USC’s campus around the same time Turtle was setting the Sunset Strip alight with Vinny, E, and Drama. So in reality, the guys were probably friends 20 years ago in LA … but now they’re finally getting a chance to connect.

Plus, Leinart can provide his West Coast insights… and Ferrara, a Brooklyn native, has the East American side covered.

As for who could join them on the show, Ferrara said there are a lot of candidates … but he’s really hoping he can go up against Brunson, the Giants rookie Malik Nabers and head coach Brian Daboll.

Of course, Babcock and Lucas weren’t about to let Ferrara go without a quick “Entourage” question… and while he said fans will always hope for reboots and more movies, Jerry explained why that might not make the most sense.
