The Buccaneers have a chance to turn their season around after an inexcusable loss last Sunday, and they have a chance to prove last season’s playoff win over the Eagles wasn’t a fluke.

In fact, they can do both in the presence of an old friend.

When the Bucs (2-1) take on the Eagles (2-1) on Sunday afternoon in Tampa, Tom Brady will call on FOX Sports, marking his first appearance at his old home since retiring after the 2022 season. Brady of course, spent the final three years of his celebrated career with the Bucs, leading them to a Super Bowl championship after the 2020 season – his record seventh title and the Bucs’ first in 18 years.

The current Bucs are quarterbacked by Baker Mayfield, who led them to a surprising 9-8 record and a 32-9 victory over the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs last season. The Bucs were 2-0 this year before their hot start was spoiled by an ugly 26-7 loss to the Broncos last week.

They’ll face an Eagles team that was coming off a tough 15-12 victory over the Saints in New Orleans last Sunday — but one that may be without some key players as star wide receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith and right tackle Lane Johnson are all out.
