The previous playoff record was set on October 7, 2013 – also Game 3 of the ALDS – when 43,973 people attended the Tigers’ 6-3 loss to the Oakland Athletics.

Comerica Park’s all-time record is 45,280, set on July 26, 2008, in a 6–7 loss to the Chicago White Sox. In total, the Tigers have played nine games, all in the regular season, with more than 44,885 fans in the park, with the most recent coming on Opening Day 2017.
