The 2024 Summer Olympics are in full swing and the quadrennial competition festival attracts athletes from all sporting disciplines.

Several sports have had a direct influence on the creation of American football, with rugby obviously at the top of the list. Ilona Maher is a star for the US women’s team, and she did it at the Paris games.

One dominant run drew a lot of attention and was compared to Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry.

The stiff arm Maher displayed has been called Derrick Henryesque.

The king was shown a video of the run during training on Monday and was asked what he thought of it.

“Oh yeah, she got it,” Henry said.

“The mindset, run hard and strong, don’t try to go down – get in the end zone by any means necessary.

“I love it, it made me want to go there too.”

On Monday, the United States defeated Great Britain 17-7 in the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games.

It was the first time that the United States rugby team (men or women) reached the semifinals of the Olympic Games.
