Chery, PLDT shoots to 3-0 in PVL

Manila, Philippines — CHERY Tiggo and PLDT will go for a third straight victory when they take on separate opponents in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The Crossovers and High Speed Hitters are both undefeated in two games and therefore share first place in Pool A.

Chery Tiggo will face Creamline at 3pm, while PLDT looks to remain dominant and will play Nxled at 5pm.

While 23-year-old winger Erica Staunton leads the Cool Smashers’ attack against Farm Fresh with 25 points, Chery Tiggo’s experienced import and team captain Khat Bell (21 points against Nxled) will look to coach the young hitter.

On the other hand, PLDT’s Lena Samoilenko, the first PVL player of the week in the Reinforced Conference, tries to disrupt the stats once again and overpower Nxled’s import Meegan Hart.

Hart opened her PVL conference with 19 points from 12 attacks against Galeries, but was limited to four points in Nxled’s match against Chery Tiggo.

Samoilenko continued to put up good numbers for PLDT in the first two games, after debuting with 34 points against Creamline and 14 points against Galeries.

In the opening match, the yet undefeated teams Galeries and Farm Fresh will compete against each other at 1 p.m.

The Foxies and the Higrisers are hoping for a win and a place in the top 10.
