BMW Championship: Keegan Bradley heads into final round with one stroke lead

Keegan Bradley shot a two-under-par 70 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the BMW Championship at Castle Pines, near Denver.

The 2025 Ryder Cup captain made birdies on four of his last five holes after a run of three consecutive bogeys to move past Australia’s Adam Scott on 12-under-par.

Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, led the match halfway through the tournament after an unblemished second round, but on Saturday he dropped a spot in the rankings with a two-over-par 74.

Swedes Alex Noren and Ludvig Aberg are tied for third at 10 under par, while two-time major champions Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark are both a further three strokes behind.

Bradley, who led after the first round, had struggled to qualify for the 50-man tournament in the penultimate tournament in the PGA Tour’s play-offs. He was in the last available spot, but will be aiming for a seventh Tour victory on Sunday.

England’s Tommy Fleetwood and Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy are tied for ninth, seven strokes behind the fastest time and on five under par.

Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre withdrew midway through the round due to lower back pain but is still on course to secure a top-30 finish for next week’s season-ending Tour Championship.
