Bank of America customers reported problems accessing their online accounts on Wednesday, with some saying they couldn’t log in and others reporting they could log in but were shocked to see their balance at $0.

Reports of outages at Bank of America began shortly after noon Eastern Time, according to DownDetector, which tracks problems at websites and Internet companies. Around 3 p.m., approximately 5,000 customers at the bank had reported problems to DownDetector.

Bank of America did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Does anyone else currently have $0 in their accounts at Bank of America?” one user wrote on the company’s X help account.

“There’s a glitch on the Bank of America website showing $0 on all accounts and honestly I think they owe everyone some money for pain and suffering because that was extremely stressful there for a moment,” wrote another customer on X.
