Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was pulled over by police outside Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday for a traffic violation but has since been released, the team announced.

The traffic incident happened about a block from the stadium, the team said. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support, the team said.

Hill is available to play in the team’s season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team said.

Sources told ESPN’s Jeff Darlington that Hill was pulled over for speeding and subsequently got into a verbal altercation with police, after which he was handcuffed.

Hill was ticketed for reckless driving, sources told Darlington.
