The US government recently announced that Americans can again request four free COVID-19 tests.

Any U.S. household can order four free COVID-19 tests from the United States Postal Service’s web page dedicated to the test kits.

The tests and shipping to households will be free starting September 30, according to the US Postal Service.

The federal government noted on Covidtests.gov that some COVID-19 test expiration dates have been extended so that they are still good to use after the expiration date printed on the boxes.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has provided a list of COVID-19 test kit expiration dates for your reference.

These rapid antigen tests, which are not PCR tests, provide results in 30 minutes without having to take them to a laboratory.

The website encourages people who take the tests to report the results to public health authorities here.
