Woman’s skull fractured in West Bridgford street robbery

A woman suffered a fractured skull when she was robbed after a night out in Nottingham.

According to Nottinghamshire Police, the 22-year-old woman was walking home along Pavilion Road in West Bridgford when a man rode up to her on a bicycle and roughly pulled her handbag.

The woman fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

The man fled with her bag, which contained personal belongings and bank cards.

Police said the woman was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment following the robbery at around 00:00 (BST) on August 19 and is now recovering.

Det Insp Simon Harrison said: “The injuries sustained by the victim were serious, not to mention the emotional impact this crime will have had.”

People who witnessed the incident or who have camera footage or dashcam footage from the area at that time are urgently requested to contact the police.
