Wildcats overcome slow start to defeat NAU Lumberjacks

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – It wasn’t easy, but the Arizona Wildcats bounced back after a slow start to defeat the NAU Lumberjacks 22-10 on Saturday night, Sept. 7, at Arizona Stadium.

Wildcats quarterback Noah Fifita led the offense with 173 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.

That was enough to defeat NAU quarterback Ty Pennington and the Lumberjacks team, who went into halftime with a 10-6 lead.

The second half was a game for the Wildcats as Arizona opened the scoring and never looked back.

The win follows the Wildcats’ 61-39 opening week victory over New Mexico.

In that game, T-Mac had 304 receiving yards, earning him AP Player of the Week. That’s the video playing in the video player.

The Wildcats’ next game is on Friday, September 13, against Kansas State.
