It was a lucky night for a Mega Millions player in Texas who bought the winning ticket worth $800 million.

According to a press release from the lottery, one ticket sold in Texas matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing. The prize was worth an estimated $800 million with a cash value of $404.2 million, the seventh-largest in Mega Millions history.

Mega Millions Winning Numbers for Tuesday, September 10

The winning numbers from Tuesday’s draw were 1, 2, 16, 24 And 66. The golden Megaball was 6, and the Megaplier was 4X.

Ahead of the next drawing on Friday, the jackpot is now estimated at $20 million, with a cash value of $10.1 million.

Where was the Mega Millions jackpot won?

One winning ticket was sold in Texas for Tuesday night’s $800 million Mega Millions jackpot. The winning ticket was sold at Murphy USA 8848 in Sugar Land, Texas, according to a press release.

Tuesday’s drawing marks the 15th time the Mega Millions jackpot has been won in Texas since the state joined the game in December 2003. It’s also the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won in September and the third prize won this year.

In addition to the jackpot winner, there was a Match 5 $1 million winner in California, Florida, New York and Washington. There were no Match 5 + Power Play $34 million winners.

The next draw is Friday September 13th at 11pm.

Where to Buy Mega Millions Tickets

In Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana, you can buy a Mega Millions ticket at gas stations, supermarkets and convenience stores until 10:45 p.m. on the night of the drawing.

In Kentucky, residents can also purchase tickets online at kylottery.com.

In Ohio, residents can use a lottery card available at Kroger, Buehler’s Fresh Foods and Giant Eagle stores. This allows Ohio consumers to enter lottery games on their phones and be notified and paid electronically if they win.

How to Play Mega Millions

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per show.

There are a total of nine ways to win a prize, from the jackpot up to $2.

Players can choose six numbers from two separate groups of numbers: five different numbers from the white balls numbered 1-70 and one number from the golden balls numbered 1-25.

  • Five white balls + one gold ball = Jackpot.
