Travel accessories and marathon essentials

Since I started using the Hatch Restore to fall asleep (and wake up), I’m finding it harder to fall asleep without some sort of sound machine. I’ve been eyeing the brand’s Rest Go for exactly this reason: it’s the perfect size to take with me on trips, whether I’m staying at a hotel, Airbnb, or with a friend. I’m also looking for more Cadence capsules: I use the original sizes on almost every trip I take, and I’ve been eyeing the larger stackable versions for longer vacations. Finally, I’m currently training for a marathon, so I’m flying through hydration packs and tablets; I’m hoping some of my favorites from Nuun and LiquidIV are on sale so I can stock up on more. —Madison Flager, senior business editor

Comfortable vests and packable jackets

I’m always cold, whether I’m on the plane or in the office. And now that the weather is cooling down, it’s time for me to refresh my fall wardrobe and outerwear collection. I desperately need some new cozy cardigans and a lightweight, packable jacket. Improved home supplies

I’m actually trying to reduce the amount of stuff I own (anyone want a complete set of the six Austen novels published by Oxford World’s Classics?), so I’m not entirely looking for new things, other than linens. After recent stays at luxury Sydney hotels like the Park Hyatt and the Capella, I’m now determined to take my house linen game to the next level. My heart says, “Frette or bust,” but I don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a sheet set, so I’m checking out some of these nicer-than-usual buys and waiting for them to be reduced by at least one more discount. 20 percent or so for Prime Day. The savings will go into my Frette comforter fund. Yes, I accept donations. —Matt Ortile, editor-in-chief

Addition to holy grail skin care products

With the colder days ahead, I’m looking for skin care products that help retain moisture. I love the Nécessaire body wash and the L’Occitane Cleansing and Softening Almond shower oil, but some days it’s hard to choose between the two. Both smell great: Nécessaire has notes of eucalyptus, while L’Occitane has more of a nutty scent. I love a set, so on the days I choose Nécessaire, I combine the body wash with lotion to stay consistent with the scent. The lotion is super light and dries quickly, making it easy to apply in the morning. While I love a great duo, I also appreciate a product that can cover a lot of luggage space (especially if luggage space is limited); the Ouai body scrub is gentle enough to use on your entire body, yes, from head to toe. I love how deeply it exfoliates, but also hydrates my skin so it doesn’t feel stripped. —Paris Wilson, trade writer

I’m nearing the end of some popular Tula products, especially the under eye balm and moisturizing primer, so when they go on sale I’ll stock up on some. I use the balm regularly, but it is especially nice to have on hand after a long flight. —M.F

A reliable travel steamer

Recently, as I put on a wrinkled shirt in frustration, it dawned on me that I could just buy a steamer. So that’s what’s on my wish list for this sale: a good steamer, big enough to smooth out some serious wrinkles, but small enough to store in my luggage. —Mercedes Bleth, global associate director, social

Road trip staples

This Prime Day, I’m prioritizing a mix of sustainability and fun, especially for my road trips. I definitely need an on-the-go water bottle and recently fell in love with the look and feel of this reusable travel mug. From park days to hiking picnics, I’m also looking for a portable, ultralight hammock to add to my cart. I think it will be the perfect partner to watch the sun. —Jessica Chapel, editorial assistant

A set of handy packing cubes

I want to up my packing organization game. I used to be a staunch carry-on-only enthusiast, but lately I’ve become a little too comfortable with lazily throwing a bunch of stuff into a checked bag. To maximize efficiency for my next trip, I’ll follow my coworkers’ directions and buy a set of packing cubes. —MB

Beauty secrets discovered through TikTok

I’m on a mission to stock up on all my hair and beauty finds on my wishlist during the sale. I must confess that TikTok has inspired most of these, and for good reason. Who hasn’t been amazed by the magical properties of Chris Appleton’s Pure Wow hairline (frizz-free hair here I come) or the Laneige lip mask, which has now become my holy grail lip product, as well as the brand’s lip balm. In my quest for glass skin, I have been looking into LED therapy and have my eye on the Project E Beauty Skin Rejuvenation Photon Mask. It has seven LED color settings and promises brilliant results. I’ll be stocking up with Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray, a refreshing staple for hot-weather travel. —Pallavi Mohan Kumar, senior visuals editor

A sleek, satisfying technical kit

I’ve been looking for a tour operator that can sort out my ever-complicated technology, and dare I say, it looks good while doing it. I think the Bellroy kit could be it. I love that it has room for all my accessories, including the larger ones, and zips out flat for easy access. Plus, it’s made from recycled fabric and available in a range of fun colours. Sign me up for Bronze, please and thank you. —Arati Menon, global digital director
