On Tuesday night, after what many called a winning debate, Kamala Harris finally secured Taylor Swift’s endorsement. Swift wrote under a photo of herself holding a cat that she praised Harris as a “solid, gifted leader” before signing off her announcement as “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.” Most recognized her as a nod to J.D. Vance’s jibe about women not reproducing. And then there’s Elon Musk, a Trump fan and fundraiser, who responded to her joke with the scariest thought he could think of. “Fine Taylor,” Musk wrote on X late Tuesday night, “you win… I will bear you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

I guess it’s no surprise that Musk, who has 12 famous children and has spent years claiming that underpopulation is more dangerous than global warming, would see a woman say she doesn’t want kids and immediately offer to get her pregnant. The fact that he’s posting blatant sexual harassment on his own website, where the content moderation seems to be in shambles? That’s just normal.
