Buffalo’s Jessica Pegula has a shot at her first Grand Slam title of the year on Saturday.

Pegula, who is currently ranked sixth in the world, will face second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the US Open tennis tournament.

Pegula recovered to defeat Karolina Muchova 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the semi-finals on Thursday.

The 30-year-old admitted she initially felt overwhelmed on Thursday night.

“I came out flat. She made me look like a beginner,” Pegula said on ESPN. “I was on the verge of tears. She broke me down and I was able to find a way, find some adrenaline, find my legs and then I started playing the way I wanted to play. It took a while, but I don’t know how I turned it around to be honest.”

Now Pegula, daughter of Kim and Terry Pegula, is about to play the biggest match of her career. Pegula has never reached this far at a Grand Slam, having lost in the quarterfinals six times in the past four years.

Time: 4:00 p.m.

Which TV channel will the US Open be broadcast on?

DirecTV customers may miss the US Open final

For 11 million DirecTV subscribers, many channels were blacked out on Sunday, as the current five-year contract between DirecTV and Disney to keep Disney content on DirecTV’s satellite and streaming services, including U-Verse TV, expired on Sunday, Sept. 1. Talks reached an impasse and DirecTV blacked out all of its Disney channels.

Without a new contract, DirecTV viewers may miss ESPN’s broadcast of the US Open tennis championship next week.

“The US Open tennis tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+,” a DirecTV spokesperson said Tuesday. “Disney normally streams the same action live on ESPN.com and its ESPN app, but Disney has shut down that access as well. It is in the process of removing all consumer access to its network-specific websites and apps in order to drive more consumers to its streaming video services such as ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu.”

DirecTV subscribers can get a $20 credit for the Disney/ESPN blackout: How to sign up

DirecTV says subscribers should go to https://www.directv.com/tvpromise/ for the credits.

“We are doing everything we can to get your station back. To thank you for your patience until the situation is resolved, we are offering you a credit,” DirecTV says on its site.

Once on the site, customers will need to enter which DirecTV service they use, such as DirecTV, DirecTV Stream, or U-verse, and enter their zip code.

Next, the site will ask users to “Explore Bill Credits,” where customers must select whether they subscribe via DirecTV via satellite or DirecTV via the Internet. People will then be taken to another page where you can enter the email address for your account.

According to the website, the $20 credit will be applied in up to two billing cycles.
