RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Washoe County School District is asking the community for feedback on certain math instructional materials it can implement into student learning.

The district invites community members to review the online published high school mathematics curriculum materials and provide input and comments.

“Public comments are an important part of our process as we evaluate potential materials that may be approved for use in our schools,” said Kindra Fox, Director of Secondary Curriculum & Instruction for WCSD. “We hope everyone will take this opportunity to review the materials that will be used to support student learning. The community’s perspective is valuable to us, and we will provide the public comments to the Board of Trustees when we make our recommendations later this year.”

The period for public review and commentary on secondary school mathematics teaching materials runs until September 15, 2024.
