Quinn Ewers and his Texas teammates are overjoyed after Saturday’s 31-12 victory over Michigan at The Big House.

Senior linebacker David Gbenda planted the Longhorns flag in the Michigan logo at midfield after the Week 2 win in Ann Arbor.

After the game, Ewers posted a photo on Instagram of himself and his teammates in the locker room following the win, accompanied by Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On.”

Ewers threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns to help Texas end the reigning champions’ 16-game winning streak.

The Longhorns jumped out to a 21-point lead at the break. Wolverines quarterback Davis Warren, who replaced 2024 NFL draft pick JJ McCarthy, struggled as the Texas defense held Michigan without a touchdown until the final two minutes.

Ewers said after the win that the victory was “definitely cool” because of his connection to Michigan rival Ohio State, where he began his college career in 2021.

Texas, which opened the school’s inaugural SEC season with a 52-0 win over Colorado State, improved its overall record to 2-0 with the win. The Longhorns will look to extend that streak to three when the team returns home next Saturday to take on UTSA.
