Video shows fire coming from Frontier flight after landing in Las Vegas

Video showed flames coming from under a Frontier flight that made a hard landing in Las Vegas on Saturday after reports of smoke in the cockpit, officials said.

Flight 1326 was en route from San Diego to Las Vegas when “the pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency,” Frontier said in a statement.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there were reports of smoke in the cockpit before the Airbus 321 could make an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport.

The airport was the intended destination of the flight.

The flight “experienced a hard landing” and the Clark County Fire Department responded immediately, said Amanda Mazzagatti, airport program manager at Harry Reid.

The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew on board were evacuated via the airstairs. They were then taken to the terminal by bus.

According to the airline and the airport, no injuries were reported.

The incident took place around 4:20 PM local time. According to the FAA, a ground stop was in effect at the airport until 7 p.m. Saturday.

A video of the incident posted on social media shows the plane rolling across the tarmac as flames and smoke appear to come from under the plane, near its wheels. A trail of thick smoke follows.

Fire trucks could be seen approaching the plane as it came to a stop and spraying it to extinguish the fire, the video showed.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. The FAA is investigating.
