The U.S. women’s rugby team won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday, beating Australia, the 2016 winners, to take home the sport’s first-ever Olympic medal.

Team USA defeated Australia 14-12 in a tough match at the Stade de France.

Alev Kelter and Alex Sedrick both scored a try and conversion, which was enough of a difference to put Team USA ahead.

The team bounced back after losing to reigning champions New Zealand in the semi-final earlier on Tuesday.

With the US trailing 7-12 in the final minutes of the bronze medal match, Sedrick scored a try to tie the score at 12-12. He then converted to win the medal.
