Nabi’s Chiefs technical team unveiled

The Brazilians recently returned to the country after a successful pre-season in Austria, where they played against some tough opponents.

During this period, Sundowns integrated its new and old technical team members, as well as the playing personnel recruited for the new campaign.

A notable absentee for the club was reigning PSL player and goalkeeper of the season Ronwen Williams.

The 32-year-old player had been struggling with a nasty shoulder injury since the Africa Cup, where he shone for Bafana Bafana, and the injury continued to plague him at the end of the season.

According to sources at Siya, Williams is said to have undergone surgery, which means he is unlikely to start in the new Betway Premiership.

The source would not say how long Williams was out, but his procedure was reportedly successful.

In his absence, Sundowns will have cover in the form of Denis Onyango, Reyaad Pieterse and Jody February.
