Unknown video shows moments after JFK assassination

A previously unseen video of the events following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is going up for auction.

The 8mm film was shot 60 years ago in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.

Videos and photographs of that fateful day have captivated people around the world ever since, the most famous being the recording by Abraham Zapruder.

The video up for auction was filmed by a truck driver named Dale Carpenter, who hoped to capture the president on camera.

Mr. Carpenter missed his chance to meet the President and looked for another location to meet him.

At that time, JFK was assassinated and Mr. Carpenter happened to capture the moment as the limousine drove to the hospital, with Secret Service agent Clint Hill clinging to the vehicle.

RR Auction, based in New Hampshire, has put the item up for auction.
