Vice President Kamala Harris borrowed a line from when former President Donald Trump was still a reality star on the TV series “The Apprentice,” when she ridiculed him for losing the 2020 election.

She said he was still processing 81 million people, roughly the total number of people who voted for and unseated now-President Joe Biden.

“Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people, so let’s be clear about that. He’s clearly having a very hard time processing that,” Harris said.

The joke came after Trump backtracked on previous comments he made acknowledging that he lost the 2020 election to Biden. Trump has repeatedly denied losing the election and falsely claimed fraud due to mail-in voting that was prevalent amid the coronavirus pandemic, despite state investigations finding no fraud, dozens of lawsuits being dismissed by judges for lack of evidence or merit, and multiple officials in his own administration telling him the election was fair and free.
