Travis Kelce’s Team Denies Rumors of Taylor Swift’s Alleged Contract Rift

Travis Kelce’s team is denying rumors that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift are in breach of contract.

Documents detailing a media plan for the couple in the event of their split have reportedly surfaced online. The documents reportedly feature the logo of Full Scope, the public relations firm that represents Kelce. TODAY.com has not independently confirmed the documents.

However, when news of the alleged breakup plan circulated online, representatives for the NFL star called the documents “false and fabricated.”

“These documents are completely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency,” a Full Scope spokesperson said in a statement obtained by TODAY.com on Sept. 4. “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and damaging falsification of documents.”

Kelce and the pop star have been dating since the summer of 2023.

Since their big debut — when she attended her first Chiefs game to support Kelce on Sept. 24, 2023 — the football player has been sharing her insights into their love story.

In June 2024, Kelce revealed on an episode of the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast when he started falling in love with the superstar.

Kelce started off by saying how he admired Swift because she was “very self-aware,” adding, “I think that’s why I really started to fall for her, because she’s so genuine with her friends and family.”

“It can get crazy for someone with that much attention, and she just keeps it so relaxed and cool,” he said.

Most recently, during a September 3 interview on “The Rich Eisen Show,” he recalled performing onstage with Swift during her “Eras Tour” show.

“I always want to have fun on stage with Tay Tay,” Kelce said, revealing his new nickname for his girlfriend. He also joked that Swift helps him come up with plays for his matches.

“She’s a little biased and makes plays specifically for me, so we’ll see if she can make it into Coach Reid’s office,” he said.

Swift has attended more than a dozen Chiefs games herself, and fans are hoping she’ll be at the team’s home game on Sept. 5.

She also famously changed her “Karma” lyric during a show, swearing at “the guy from the Chiefs,” and even spoke about supporting each other when she was named Time’s 2023 Person of the Year.

“When you say a relationship is public, it means I’m going to see him do what he likes, we’re going to stand up for each other, there are other people there and we don’t care,” she said, later adding, “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew about, which I’m grateful for, because that’s how we got to know each other.”

“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” she said. “I think some people think, ‘Did you see our first date at that game?’ We would never be psychotic enough to go on a first date hard.”
