Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot here.

SHARE was a great opening guess, although after that I had over 100 possible solutions, and only one green ‘E’ in the last box. I picked all the new letters for my second guess, CLOUT, which ended up being a good decision. Later I found out there were two choices left, but all I could think about at the time was TITLE. Luckily that was the Wordle – and not TILDE.

I get 1 point for guessing three points and 0 for tying the Bot. 1 x 2 for 2XP Friday = 2 points. Huzzah!

How to Play Competitive Wordle

• Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
• If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. In case of a draw you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or play for a new score every day.
• Friday is 2XP, which means you double your points: positive or negative.
• You can keep a running tally or just play day by day. Enjoy!

Today’s Wordle Etymology

The word title comes from Old French titrewhich in turn emerged from Latin titulus. In Latin, titulus refers to an inscription, label or heading, often used to indicate ownership or honor. Over time, the meaning expanded to include rank, honor or office. The use of title in English, which appeared around the 14th century, represented not only labels or headings for literary works, but also terms indicating status or rank.
