If the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders want to have legitimate playoff aspirations this season, Week 4 of the 2024 season could go down as a pivotal moment. The Raiders will host the Browns Sunday, with each team sporting a precarious 1-2 record and a tough quarterback situation after three games.

The Browns (1-2) are coming off a 21-15 home loss to the New York Giants that featured another disappointing performance from high-priced quarterback Deshaun Watson. The version of Watson that was a dual-threat for the Houston Texans hasn’t appeared often in Cleveland, but he may be too expensive to play on the bench. Maybe a visit to Vegas will help.

The Raiders started quarterback Gardner Minshew on the bench after falling behind big time in their deflating 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. Aidan O’Connell came in under center and led a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter, but Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce said this week that Minshew will remain the Raiders’ starter at quarterback against the Browns in Week 4.
