Max Clark is one of the best Detroit Tigers in a long time, but like you, he’s just a huge Tigers fan right now.

Clark, ranked No. 6 in baseball by MLB Pipeline, reacted like everyone else when Kerry Carpenter belted a three-run home run deep into the Cleveland evening for a dramatic 3-0 victory Monday in Game 2 of the ALDS at Progressive Field.

“KERRY. BONDS. OH. MY. GOODNESS.”

Clark, the Tigers’ No. 3 pick in the 2023 MLB draft, is known to have been tweeting during Tigers games last month as they made their historic 31-11 run to clinch a playoff berth to transport.

Clark, 19, was wound up for one of two double plays Tarik Skubal induced with runners in scoring position in the middle innings.

Clark slashed .279 (average)/.372 (on-base percentage)/.421 (slugging) in 107 games between Low-A Lakeland and High-A West Michigan, with nine home runs and 75 RBIs in 420 at-bats. He is not on the Tigers’ roster in the Arizona Fall League.
