Thursday was the hottest day in San Diego County in 4 years – San Diego Union-Tribune

Thursday was the hottest day in four years in San Diego County, and the heat wave won’t be over until Monday or possibly Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.

An extreme heat warning is in effect east of Interstate 15 through 8 p.m. Monday. Seasonal temperatures are not expected to return until Wednesday.

According to meteorologists, the county experienced a heat wave on September 5 and 6, 2020, causing temperatures to soar across most of the county rather than just a handful of areas. The same thing happened on Thursday, as the high temperature numbers below show.
