Threat of flooding and rainfall at the end of the week

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Tuesday is the last dry day of the work week.

Temperatures will be around 36 degrees Celsius. There may be some local showers.

Tropical moisture in the Gulf is moving north and a stationary boundary will bring rain-soaked flooding Wednesday morning.

Heavy downpours with high rainfall are possible each day. We are at a Level 2 out of 4 risk for flooding on both Wednesday and Thursday.

A front will move through and clear the rain on Saturday, bringing lower dew points and a very pleasant feeling in the morning hours.

We may get a taste of autumn, especially on the North Shore, with lows between 17 and 13 degrees Celsius.
