The key superstars looked solid in Vegas’ 5-2 win over Utah Hockey Club

Jack Eichel. Alex Pietrangelo. Mark Steen. Tomas “Pleasure should always be” Hertl. These names attract countless hockey fans from the Las Vegas community, bringing them to see their favorite hockey team. The Vegas Golden Knights have built a reputation as the go-to destination for several superstars over the years and have grown attached to its passionate fan base. How so?

All this for a preseason game. Against the Utah Hockey Club.

Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing like a new hockey team in the NHL. The Golden Knights were in that position at one point, reaching the Stanley Cup Final in their first season. But it shows that fans will show up for a hockey game no matter who is playing. All you need is a consistent winner. Las Vegas, hockey is back and it’s time to get excited again.

That’s especially true when the biggest names return to the ice. Fans saw Eichel perform incredible maneuvers, which even led to a goal. They also saw Alex Pietrangelo have a productive night, scoring a power-play goal and adding an assist. Overall, it was a great night for Vegas’ biggest celebrities as they lit up the Las Vegas sky with goals.

The star power resulted in a 5-2 win, with the Golden Knights pulling away from Utah in the third period. The upset win should give fans hope for a strong season that should see the franchise fly under the radar. But there’s more fans should be excited about after beating the newest team.

The Vegas Golden Knights’ victory over the Utah Hockey Club is cut short

While the Vegas Golden Knights’ power play wasn’t perfect on Friday, it showed promising signs of development. Alex Pietrangelo scored from the point in the second period on a one-timer to tie the game for Vegas. Jack Eichel and Victor Olofsson provided the assists for the man advantage, which showed promise for the unit.

Historically, the Golden Knights have been bad on the power play. Such as: 19.6% lifetime percentage bad. It’s enough to make fans scream in pain, almost as if their toe has been eaten. However, Friday showed a different side of the unit, where they became more and more comfortable as the match progressed. Scoring a goal in three power play attempts is a promising side for the future, especially for a unit looking for life.

Another thing to watch out for is the battle for the Tanners. Tanner Pearson and Tanner Laczynski will battle for a spot on the roster, with the duo assisting on third-period goals. Which Tanner will win the war? Stay informed. While the power play looked good, the penalty shot looked shaky early on. Michael Carcone jumped for the first goal for the Golden Knights, putting Vegas in an early hole. However, it took some time to coalesce, similar to the power play.

Overall, this was a nice win for the Golden Knights in the preseason. The main attractions provided a spectacle for the home crowd, with goals from numerous household names. If this is a sign of things to come, Vegas Golden Knights fans will be tuning in for this episode in droves. It could even lead to a surprisingly happy ending for the home crowd.
