The Bachelorette finale will not air for DirecTV customers

The broadcast dispute between Disney and DirecTV has already thrown a spanner in the works for college football fans, and now some viewers are angry that the situation will likely derail their broadcast plans. The Bachelorette end.

As early as Sunday, moments after Disney networks including ABC and ESPN halted their broadcasts for DirectTV customers, fans of the franchise took to social media to point out that this would impact their ability to watch the live finale if the issues were not resolved by Tuesday night.

“Apparently DIRECTV and Disney/ABC couldn’t reach an agreement and now their channels are unavailable,” wrote an X user on September 1. “Um, how am I supposed to watch then? The Bachelorette final on tuesday?! I can’t wait until the next day without seeing spoilers!”

Another user tagged both companies and wrote: ‘Please resolve your disagreement quickly.’ The Bachelorette finals are tomorrow night and I have to see how it goes! TIA a paying customer!”

The contract between the two companies expired Sunday and DirecTV pulled the plug on its Disney channels just before ESPN’s broadcast of the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff of the USC-LSU game.

As of Tuesday night, the transfer dispute is still ongoing, with all 11 million DirecTV subscribers no longer having access to Disney networks, meaning The Bachelorette final is still not available to viewers despite protests on social media.

Luckily, all episodes of the series will be available on Hulu the next day, but you’ll have to avoid spoilers to do so.
