Terrell Owens makes ESPN joke after sex tape is posted on Shannon Sharpe’s Instagram

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens turned out to be one of Shannon Sharpe’s many social media followers who saw a wild, sexually explicit video on the ESPN personality’s Instagram.

Owens couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation on X by responding to a user who posted clips from the Instagram livestream that clearly showed a woman moaning.

“I guarantee @espn HR IS BUSY RIGHT NOW!!! Let’s see what they come up with to smooth this over,” Owens wrote on social media. “I know @NightcapShow_ is about to get LIT.”

The second part of the message is a reference to the show Sharpe co-hosts with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson.

Johnson also responded to the situation with a GIF of Denzel Washington.

Sharpe’s face is nowhere to be seen in the video, and while the video was taken down from ESPNer’s Instagram, clips have been circulating on social media.

At one point in the video it appeared as if his name was being used by the unknown voice.

Sharpe initially blamed the post on his account being hacked in a post on X, which was later deleted.

“Please be advised, my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning. My team and I are working hard to resolve this — UNC,” Sharpe wrote in the post, which was eventually deleted.

Sharpe made a name for himself on the football field by winning three Super Bowls during his 14-year NFL career and making eight Pro Bowl appearances.

Sharpe was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011 after a career in which he recorded 10,060 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns.

Thousands of people viewed Sharpe’s Instagram clip, which he claims was part of a cyberattack.

After his active days were over, Sharpe built a second career in sports media, clashing with Skip Bayless on FS1’s “Undisputed” and now a contributor to the World Wide Leader in Sports, including an appearance on “First Take” with Stephen A. Smith.
