Team News: Calafiori Gets First Start at Man City | Team News | News

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to his team for today’s league-leading clash with Manchester City, allowing Riccardo Calafiori to make his full debut.

The Italian international gets his first starting place for us as a defender, meaning Ben White ends up on the bench.

The other change from Thursday’s 0-0 draw with Atalanta is the arrival of Leandro Trossard in the team, with former City man Gabriel Jesus among the replacements, alongside another man who shone in light blue at the Etihad: Raheem Sterling.

Thomas Partey makes his 100th Premier League appearance after being named in midfield, while Declan Rice returns to the competition after serving a one-match suspension.

For the third game in a row, we have a different captain: Bukayo Saka takes over the captain’s armband, having led us once before – against Sheffield United in October 2023.
