Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president just minutes after the Democratic candidate debated her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.

The pop star wrote on Instagram that she will vote for Harris because “she fights for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend them.”

“I did my research and I made my choice. Your research is entirely yours to do and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters, remember that you have to be registered to vote!” Swift wrote to her 283 million followers. “I also find it much easier to vote early. I will link in my story where you can register and where you can find early voting dates and information.”

Swift captioned the post, “Taylor Swift, childless cat lady,” a nod to controversial comments made by Trump’s running mate JD Vance.
