Taylor Swift appears to be skipping Chiefs game for the first time in the 2024 season

Taylor Swift didn’t appear to be coming to Atlanta on Sunday night to see Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Falcons in their Week 3 game.

Swift had been to the Chiefs’ first two games of the season. Both games were victorious and were played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Swift wore a suit for both games, in which the Chiefs were hanging by a thread to win.

The Chiefs were on the road on Sunday night. Swift was at the Chiefs’ road game against the New York Jets last season, but the circumstances were very different then. Swift also followed the Chiefs on their Super Bowl run, making it to Super Bowl 58 despite being on tour overseas.

Swift was noticeably absent, as the pomp and circumstance with which she entered the Mercedes-Benz Stadium was only visible before kick-off.

Kelce has struggled to get going on offense, having four catches for 39 yards in two games.

He was criticized earlier in the week by ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

“I love my brother from another in Travis Kelce, but we saw more of Taylor Swift than Travis Kelce yesterday, on a Sunday afternoon,” Smith said last week after the Chiefs’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals. “That shouldn’t have happened. We should have seen more of Travis Kelce yesterday than she did.

“That’s not going to happen. You’ve got to get going, you’ve got 39 receiving yards in the first two games. Come on now. Football season is here. The honeymoon is over. Let’s take care of business, okay.”
