LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Late Thursday night, a man was taken into custody following a barricade near downtown Las Vegas.

Around 11:35 p.m., Las Vegas police began investigating a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of North 13th Street, near Bonanza and Maryland. A man reportedly threatened his family members with a gun and stated that he would hurt them if they refused to leave.

Arriving officers deemed the situation a barricade after the man refused to leave the home and requested SWAT and crisis negotiators.

The emergency services were eventually able to take the man into custody after several hours.

The incident is currently under investigation.
