Storms fell trees and cause damage in northern valley

CROOKSTON, Minn. (Valley News Live) – Severe weather caused flooding and damage in parts of the northern Valley Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Valley News Team’s Shelby Ebertowski reports that the English Coulee on UND’s campus overflowed due to heavy rainfall.

A viewer in Crookston, Minnesota shared photos after storms left her yard in disarray on Thursday morning. The photos show a broken section of tree, large downed branches and a toppled fence.

Another viewer shared photos from Melvin, Minnesota, which is between Crookston and Fertile. A large tree fell on a home, damaging the roof, siding and windows.
