The New York Jets continued their 2024 NFL season with a 24-3 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 3.

In every win, it was a team effort as a whole. Individually, certain players usually stand out. That was the case Thursday at MetLife Stadium.

Here’s Jets Wire’s stock report following the Jets’ 2-1 win over the Patriots (1-2):

Restock: QB Aaron Rodgers

That was Aaron Rodgers. The 40-year-old QB gave Jets fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for against the Patriots. Rodgers finished Week 3 27-for-35 passing for 281 yards and two touchdowns.

Restocking: TE Tyler Conklin

Wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard stood out in their own right. This outing, however, belonged to Tyler Conklin. The tight end finally made an impact in a game after being invisible through the first two games of 2024. He led the Jets with 93 yards on five catches, and hauled away all but one target thrown his way.

Stocks Down: OL Morgan Moses

..

.

It’s a harsh reality, but the best asset is availability. Morgan suffered a knee injury and will reportedly miss a “few games.” When Moses left, first-round rookie Olu Fashanu stepped into the lineup.

Pro Football Focus gave Moses a 50.8 overall grade in 60 snaps played. PFF gave Fashanu a 70.8 overall in his 14 snaps played.

Stocks Down: LB Jamien Sherwood

It’s not that Sherwood was terrible, he just wasn’t the perfect relief guy he was in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans. PFF’s grade on Sherwood dropped from 82.7 to 65.5. Sherwood has some misfires against the run, and he was targeted four times in the passing game and allowed four catches.

Restocking: Will McDonald IV

After three sacks against the Titans, did you think McDonald was done? Apparently not. In a sackfest for the Pats, McDonald added two more sacks with one QB hit and three defensive stops. McDonald is pumping the brakes after his early season success, but it’s hard not to get excited.

Stock Replenishment: DT Quinnen Williams

Like McDonald, Williams also had a sack. He was also PFF’s highest-rated Jets defenseman in the win, earning an impressive 89.5 overall grade. After New York’s first two games saw decent and unimpressive performances from Williams, he was very good for Gang Green’s defense in this one.

Stock up: CB Sauce Gardner

After Gardner’s stock was as low as it’s ever been against the Titans… as expected… Sauce is back in full force. Gardner threw up two catches on three targets, but the yardage was just nine yards–not even a first down. Gardner was also credited with a defensive stop.
