In addition to the new Station District Lofts at the historic Milwaukee Station in Great Falls, there will also be new food and beverage options for everyone to enjoy.

Tyson Holzheimer, a Great Falls native, is the Station Project’s hospitality director. Holzheimer is a big fan of travel and food and wants to bring some of what he’s seen at other food halls here to Montana.

“I don’t think there’s anything like it in Montana, and I dare say there’s nothing like it in the surrounding states either. Like I said, I’ve been to a lot of food halls that are really cool, that look similar. Nothing has a view of a beautiful river like this, nothing has large event spaces like this, this patio is super unique,” ​​Holzheimer explains.

The inside has seating for 200 people, as well as a full bar, lounge area, coffee bar and game room. They will also have an upper floor with a balcony and outdoor patio.

“We hope to get everyone going or relaxing with a cocktail and a snack,” Holzheimer said.

The design consists of four food options: American, Pan-Asian, Mexican and Italian.

The Station District group plans to use Montana products, including Wagyu beef from Willo Ranch in Cascade.

Additionally, half of the taps at the bar will come from Montana breweries.

“Supporting the local economy. You know, when we support the local economy, we support local vendors, local farmers, they’re going to support us, and in turn it works for everyone,” Holzheimer said.

The Station Project was approved in 2020 and construction is now in full swing. They plan for tenants to move in this month and have a soft launch of the dining area later this year.

“(We have) a lot of noise in there that shows signs of progress and work,” Holzheimer added as construction was actively taking place.

The Stationskwartier hopes to complete this project later this winter.
