Rapper Snoop Dogg has never been shy about his affinity for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He certainly didn’t keep a low profile while attending a Steelers game on Sunday.

Snoop was ubiquitous at Acrisure Stadium throughout the early evening of Sunday until the originally scheduled start time of a game against the Dallas Cowboys. The kick-off was postponed due to a heavy storm that passed through the area.

The official social media accounts of the NFL and the Steelers posted multiple videos and photos of Snoop’s on-field antics. Snoop wore a jacket decorated with various Steelers logos, black pants with gold and white Steelers-style stripes down the legs and black and gold sneakers. Snoop was filmed admiring the natural grass field and painted logo at center field, while also running a drill. ride the sidelines and mingle with the Steelers special teamers.

Snoop had been teasing his visit to Pittsburgh last week for the game, which was broadcast by NBC. Snoop had done work for the network during the Olympics last summer.

Snoop filled the duty as the official pregame “Towel Twirler” that the Steelers use for home games. The team played Snoop’s music early in the game after notable players.

Snoop, whose given name is Calvin Broadus, was born and raised in Southern California. The 52-year-old is an avid sports fan, mainly of teams from the Los Angeles area. He says he became a fan of the Steelers growing up in the 1970s because of his grandfather. The Steelers won their first of four Super Bowl championships in the 1970s.

Snoop was at the Steelers UPMC Rooney Sports Complex headquarters on Saturday.

“Don’t ask me how excited I am to be here,” Snoop said in a post on the Steelers’ X account on Sunday. “Guess where I am, y’all? I’m in the building. DO, double G, is in the right place. It’s playtime, isn’t it? Here we go.”

Snoop’s 1993 debut studio album, Doggystyle, sold more than 11 million copies worldwide.
