Sen. Tillis issues ultimatum to beleaguered GOP candidate in crucial swing state: ‘He owes it to President Trump’

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., issued an ultimatum to North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson following the bombshell report about his alleged porn scandal, saying he “owes it to President Trump.”

“If the reporting on Mark Robinson is a total media fabrication, he should take immediate legal action,” Tillis said in a Friday message to X.

“If the reporting is accurate, he owes it to President Trump and every Republican to hold himself accountable for his actions and put the future of North Carolina and our party first,” he said.

Tillis’ statement came after Robinson posted a video on social media in which he denied his involvement in the scandal and vowed to stay in the race for governor of Old North State.

“Let me reassure you, the things that you’re going to see in that story, those are not the words of Mark Robinson. You know my words, you know my character, and you know that I’ve been completely transparent in this race and before. Folks, in this race right now, our opponents are desperate to shift the focus here from the substantive issues and focus on what you care about to salacious trappings, tabloid garbage,” he said in the X video.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Robinson’s campaign for comment.

In a statement to CNN, Robinson said this was “not us.”

“This is not us. These are not our words. And this is not something that is specific to me,” Robinson said. “I’m not going to get into the details of how someone fabricated this, these salacious tabloid lies.”

CNN reported Thursday afternoon in a report that Robinson previously used a porn site called “Nude Africa.”

On the pornographic site, Robinson allegedly messaged fellow users about peeping on women in locker rooms as a teenager, described himself as a “black NAZI” and expressed a fondness for transgender porn. The candidates’ involvement stretched from 2008 to 2012, according to CNN, long before Robinson entered the political arena in 2019.

REPUBLICAN MARK ROBINSON ON HISTORIC VICTORY FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR: ‘THIS PARTY IS OPEN TO EVERYONE’

The CNN report alleged that Robinson used a pseudonym on the porn site, “minisoldr.”

“I came to a spot that was a dead end but had two large vents over it! It just so happened to overlook the showers! I sat there for about an hour and watched as different girls came in and showered,” Robinson reportedly wrote on Nude Africa.

In another 2010 story, CNN reported that Robinson allegedly said, “I’m a black Nazi!” while talking about black Republicans.

The allegations come as North Carolina remains a highly contested state as the 2024 election approaches.

The key states in the race – including North Carolina – had razor-thin margins that decided President Bidens Trump’s 2020 election victory.
