Saints QB Derek Carr expected to miss several weeks with an oblique injury suffered in the loss to Chiefs

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is expected to miss several weeks due to an oblique injury he suffered in Monday night’s loss to the Chiefs, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday.

Carr, who was injured late in the Saints’ loss in Kansas City, will likely miss at least the next two games — against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday and Denver Broncos in Week 7 — which will take place over the next nine days. .

When Carr left for the locker room against the Chiefs, he was replaced by Jake Haener, but rookie Spencer Rattler is a strong candidate to start against the Bucs, according to Garafolo.

There will be more around the NFL soon.
