OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – There are a few scattered showers among the thick clouds this morning. Watch for some of them to bring rain into the morning commute and anytime before 10 a.m. However, that won’t be the last of the rain today, as a localized T-storm is also possible in the afternoon.

As that continues, we’re likely to get enough sunshine this afternoon to warm temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius.

A light northwesterly wind can easily reach 32 km/h, with some gusts of up to 40 km/h possible.

The rest of the week will be quiet with highs around 27 degrees Celsius in a very pleasant air mass.

We are keeping an eye on the tropical system that is expected to hit the west coast of Florida later this week. It is still possible that some moisture could make its way our way this weekend. The chances are slim though, as I expect most of it to pass us by in the Southeast, unfortunately. We could be in the running for the driest September on record.
