A prominent American political reporter has been suspended after admitting to having a personal relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. when he was running for president.

Olivia Nuzzi, the 31-year-old Washington correspondent for New York magazine, allegedly shared sexual text messages with the 70-year-old independent candidate after visiting his home in California for an interview.

After news website Status Media made the allegation of a relationship on Thursday, Nuzzi admitted that the “nature of some of the communications between me and a former reporter became personal.”
