Raiders’ Antonio Pierce Likes IG Video Reporting Davante Adams Trade Rumors | News, scores, highlights, stats and rumors

Antonio Pierce may have given his opinion on wide receiver Davante Adams.

The Las Vegas Raiders head coach liked an Instagram post in which Sports illustratedMichael Fabiano reported that Adams may have “already played his last snap with the Raiders.”

Pierce has since removed his like on the post, but his interaction could prove that Fabiano’s report is accurate and that the six-time Pro Bowler is on his way out of Las Vegas.

Fabiano reported that the Raiders may retain him to complete a trade and that he could have numerous suitors, with the New York Jets being a notable target.

“Some of my little birds out there are suggesting there’s a chance he won’t play for the Raiders again,” Fabiano said. “(My sources say) he could have played yesterday, but the Raiders are looking to deal him because they know they can get some value for him and they know they’re not going anywhere this year.”

Adams did not play in Week 4 after “going soft” during Thursday’s practice, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He is considered “week to week” with the injury.

While Pierce likes the post, this could be an accident, but it could also be a sign that this move will happen soon.

Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown in 2024. He is under contract through 2026, although there is an “out” in his deal after the 2024 season.

With this in mind, he could be hired mid-season by a contending team and that franchise wouldn’t have to bring him back. However, the team could choose to keep him around if he excels, so it’s an intriguing situation.

The 2024 NFL trade deadline is November 4. If Adams were to be treated, it would have to be before that date.
