Perry Farrell Slams Dave Navarro During Jane’s Addiction Concert

A Jane’s Addiction concert ended in chaos after lead singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro.

On Friday, September 13, the band was performing at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston when an altercation broke out between the two band members during a performance of “Ocean Size” from the group’s 1988 album. Nothing is shocking.

In a video of the incident posted on YouTube, Farrell, 65, can be seen appearing agitated as he repeats a phrase that sounds like a chant to the crowd. He then turns to Navarro, 57, who is playing guitar, and repeats the chant in his direction.

Farrell then appeared to yell, “f— you!” as he shoulder-shoved his collaborator, who put his arm against the lead singer’s chest in what appeared to be an attempt to restrain him. Farrell then punched Navarro.

Several people then rushed onto the stage to stop Farrell. Navarro was later seen grabbing his guitar and putting it on the floor as the lights in the venue dimmed, bringing the concert to an abrupt end.

Representatives for both Farrell and Navarro, as well as Live Nation, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Footage of the incident was also shared on X (formerly Twitter) by another concertgoer, who wrote in the caption: β€œPerry Farrell and Dave Navarro got into an argument and the concert was over.”

“I was there. The audience was stunned. Half p—– the show ended early and half excited that we might have seen the last Janes A-show ever,” wrote another fan on the social platform.

The shocking moment between Farrell and Navarro came during the band’s current North American tour, which kicked off August 9 in Las Vegas and features their classic lineup of Farrell, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery for the first time since 2010.

After the onstage fight, Avery, Perkins and Navarro returned to the stage to bid farewell to the audience, making peace gestures, waving and beating their hearts. Variety reported.

The band announced their 23-city tour in May, after reuniting for the first time in 14 years to play an intimate show in London on May 23.

The tour was originally scheduled to end in St. Louis at the Evolution Festival on September 29, according to a press release. However, in August, the band added several new dates, extending the tour through October 16.

Jane’s Addiction’s next show is scheduled for Sunday, September 15 at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
