Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Day 3, LIVE Medal table: India 19th with five medals after Rubina wins bronze, China leads with 16 gold medals

The 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris officially started on Thursday and will conclude on September 8.

India opened its account at the Paris Paralympics when Avani Lekhara bagged gold and Mona Agarwal won bronze in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 category on Friday. Later, Preethi Pal also bagged a bronze medal in women’s 100m T35 event while Manish Narwal won a silver medal in men’s 10m air pistol SH1.

On Saturday, Rubina Frances won a bronze medal for India in the P2 Women’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 event.

China maintains a healthy lead at the top with 34 medals, including 16 gold.

Great Britain is second in the rankings, while the Netherlands is third with 16 and 8 medals respectively.

Dutch Caroline Groot won the first gold medal of the Games on August 29 in the 500 meters time trial track cycling for women C4-5. French Marie Patouillet won silver and Canadian Kate O’Brien won bronze.

At the latest edition of the Paralympic Games in Paris, 4,400 athletes from all over the world will compete in 549 medal events across 22 sports.
