Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) out, Malik Willis starts against Colts

But Love is gone now and Willis is back, set to quarterback the Packers less than three weeks after he was officially acquired by the club in a deal with the Tennessee Titans.

Willis, a 2022 NFL Draft third-round selection out of Liberty, was once considered a potential franchise signal-caller for the Titans. But Willis struggled in his first two seasons, making three starts, all as a rookie. His last start came on Christmas Eve 2022 in a 19-14 loss to the Houston Texans, in which Willis went 14 of 23 for 99 yards and two interceptions.

Willis is 1-2 as a starter in 17 career appearances. While he has an NFL win on his resume, Willis is still searching for his first career touchdown pass. He is 35 of 67 for 350 yards, no TDs and three interceptions. Willis has scored on the ground, however, with 32 rushes for 144 yards and one TD. He has the ability to make big plays with his legs and a strong arm, but how ready he will be after a week of prep with LaFleur is a big question heading into Sunday.

Willis played two snaps for the Packers after Love was injured, threw an incompletion and was subsequently sacked to end the game.

Green Bay will be hoping for a much better performance Sunday when the Packers kick off against the visiting Colts at 1 p.m. (local time).
