Open topic for Sunday night football: Chicago Bears at Houston Texans

Good evening boys, girls, and non-binary friends, and welcome to the triumphant return of the Houston Texans to primetime (flex games aside).

1,750. That’s the number of days the Texans appeared on Sunday Night Football. For those of you who don’t have a calculator handy, and why would you want one, the last SNF game the Texans appeared in was December 1, 2019, when who’s-his-face led the Texans at home against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, coming away with a 28-22 victory.

It’s been almost five years. Now, C.J. Stroud’s Flying Circus returns to Houston for their home debut against the Chicago Bears. The Texans are 6.5-point favorites against the Bears, but primetime games haven’t been the Texans fan’s best friend in recent years, so anything can happen.

Anyway, here’s how to watch/stream/listen to tonight’s primetime broadcast.

Chicago Bears (1-0) vs. Houston Texans (1-0), September 15, 2024 7:20 PM CDT

Location: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (but you already knew that)

Television: NBC (KPRC 2)

Radio: SPORTS RADIO 610 | 100.3 THE BULL | MEGA 101

  • Don’t troll in your comments; create a conversation instead of destroying it
  • Remember that Battle Red Blog is basically a profanity-free site
  • Out of respect for the broadcast partners who paid to air the match, it is not allowed to mention ‘alternative’ (read: illegal) viewing methods in our threads.

In short, don’t be a jerk, we’re all trying to have fun here.

And for those looking to throw some money at today’s game, here are my picks for today’s game, from FanDuel.

Pretty simple reasoning. The Bears are a significant underdog and the Texans will be excited about their first SNF game in half a decade; not to mention I don’t trust the Bears defense to pull them out of holes the Texans could put them in early.

BRB community, this is your thread for today’s game. Enjoy!

Come on, Texans!
