No. 20 Arizona comes back to beat NAU 22-10

No surprise in Tucson.

After falling behind 10-3 midway through the second quarter to local rival Northern Arizona, the No. 20 seed rallied to score 19 unanswered points to clinch a 22-10 victory.

Quarterback Noah Fifita connected on a 17-yard touchdown with wide receiver Jeremiah Patterson to regain the lead after trailing at halftime.

The Wildcats added a safety early in the fourth quarter after NAU running back Darvon Hubbard was tackled in the end zone to take a 15-10 lead. Running back Kedrick Reescano’s 56-yard touchdown run with 9:32 left in the fourth quarter ended the game.

A trick play first gave NAU the lead when wide receiver Isaiah Eastman connected with fellow wide receiver Xander Werner for a 25-yard touchdown with 10:24 left in the second quarter. Marcus Lye added a 38-yard field goal to make it 10-3 with 6:20 left.
